History

Brush Run began as a Methodist Episcopal church in 1895. For almost 55 years it was part of a circuit riding minister's itinerary, and then it was served by both part-time and full-time pastors. Over the years the church has grown in its ministries and facilities. With the merger of the Methodist and Evangelical United Brethren denominations in 1968, it became a United Methodist Church. In 2023, Brush Run joined the Global Methodist Church.
